Email	office@bribislashs.eq.edu.au	Bribie Island State High School, a Queensland Government co-educational school, was established in 1989. The school has an enrolment of approximately 1000 students and a staff of approximately 100. Bribie Island State High School is located on an Island with a population of 15000, situated 100 kilometres north of the capital city (Brisbane). The island is connected to the mainland by a lengthy bridge. The school has two divisions; a Middle School comprised of Year 8 and 9 and a Senior School comprised of Year 10, 11 and 12. The curriculum offered at the school is developed by the Queensland Studies Authority, which is the curriculum offered by the vast majority of State schools in Queensland. Bribie Island is not culturally diverse. Over 90% of the current student population is Australian born. The school has recently established an International Student Program and is constantly exploring ways of exposing its students to the international community and developing an international perspective. The school community believes that positive relationships are the core to success, with the pastoral care structures within the school promoting positive student-teacher-staff relationships.
