Speciality programs such as Music Excellence, Sport Excellence and French Immersion as well as the high standard of our teaching faculties attract students transitioning into High School. Strong ties with local Primary Schools have also led to the development of a seamless curriculum which has proved to be influential in families choosing Benowa High as a preferred secondary destination. Students also choose to join Benowa State High School from other secondary schools during the senior phase based on Benowa student’s strength of academic success and transition to University/TAFE after Year 12. The school offers an extensive range of Queensland Study Authority and TAFE/VETEC accredited subjects which help the Year 12 students work towards and OP or Rank to facilitate entry to institutions of further study. For those students wishing to pursue a vocational path, the Careers Centre places dozens of young people in new apprenticeships, traineeships and work placements in the Open Pathways Program.
